PUNE: Deputy chief minister Sunetra Pawar met with the newly elected members of the Zilla Parishad and Panchayat Samities in Pune district from the NCP on Friday. This was her first meeting with them after taking charge.
After the meeting, Pawar said, “I have told them that as the voters gave a clear majority to us, we should work hard and complete all the work promised by late Ajit Pawar.”
Party sources said there were also discussions on the appointment of new Panchayat Samiti presidents and Zilla Parishad office bearers. Parth Pawar was also present during the meeting.
Following in her husband’s footsteps, Sunetra Pawar has called a Janata Darbar at her Baramati residence at 7am on Saturday, where she will meet citizens to discuss local issues.
