Duleep Trophy 2024 Live Score: Shreyas Iyer goes down swinging

Duleep Trophy 2024 Live Score: Shreyas Iyer blasts his way to a half-century in 39 balls

Duleep Trophy 2024 Live Score: Well the India D captain has decided that he will play just one way in this match, which is score as many runs as possible if the ball is in his slot. He was not very succesfull in the first innings but not so this time. He has raced to his half-century in 39 balls and is now on 54 off 43.

Duleep Trophy 2024 Live Score: Musheer decides to go after the bowling, hits the second ball of the 111th over from Kuldeep for a six. He had scored two centuries in this short career, one of which was a double century. It means that two of the three centuries he has scored now in first class cricket has gone over 150.

The 19-year-old has scored 150 in 325 balls. He stands with his hands stretched facing the India A dressing room, where his teammates applaud him. Brother Sarfaraz tells him to stay calm and continue batting. He reaches 153 off 327, Saini on 42 off 113 at the end of that over. Absolutely no danger in the field for them, they are picking off singles at will.

Duleep Trophy 2024 Live Score: Shubman Gill's strange field placements

Duleep Trophy 2024 Live Score: Former India head coach WV Raman is slamming Shubman Gill's field placements in the commentary box. "If I was given a field like this as a bowler I would throw the ball back at the captain and say, 'You bowl'," he says. India A have come up with some extremely defensive fields today, which has helped Musheer and Saini continue with absolutely no trouble.

Duleep Trophy 2024 Live Score: Some umpiring howlers in Bengaluru

Duleep Trophy 2024 Live Score: The square leg umpire has a word with Musheer about him running through the middle of the pitch, which is quite strange because it should be the umpire at the non-striker's end who should be doing that. Then the umpires realise that there are 12 fielders on the ground two balls into the 99th over.

  India B 264/7 in 99 overs

Duleep Trophy 2024 Live Score: Frustration for India A

Duleep Trophy 2024 Live Score: Khaleel Ahmed threw the ball back at Musheer's stumps after the batter tapped it back to him and then gave him a little stare. Musheer gave it back. Musheer has also been walking down the track only to leave or defend the ball, creating all kinds of footmarks that maybe he could use himself later on, whenever India A get to bat that is. A few overs later, Khaleel's last ball of the 98th over goes fizzing over the off stump as Saini leaves it.

Duleep Trophy 2024 Live Score: India B are 259/7 in 94 overs (Musheer 144 off 293, Saini 41 off 99); India C are 115/8 in 48 overs (Baba Indrajith 28 off 88, Anshul Kamboj 0 off four). Well these two matches are going at two very different paces at the moment. India C are two wickets away from conceding a first innings lead, which will have an effect on the number of points they get from this match even if they win it. Musheer and Saini, meanwhile, seem set to ground India A to dust the way they are going

Duleep Trophy 2024 Live Score: SIX AND FOUR! Partnership between Musheer and Saini crosses 150

Duleep Trophy 2024 Live Score: Those who watched Musheer Khan for the first time yesterday maybe surprised by how he is playing today but this is exactly what he is actually known to do. The second and third balls of the 91st over from Avesh is short, Musheer pulls the first one into the stands for a six. The second one goes over the boundary after bouncing once. That takes the partnership to 153 off 283. Musheer has now scored 133 in 277.

Duleep Trophy 2024 Live Score: A couple of close calls for the India B batters

Duleep Trophy 2024 Live Score: India A took the new ball as soon as it became available, which was in the second over of the day. There was a run out chance off the fifth ball of Deep's next over, with Musheer tapping it past backward point and setting off. Both batters then floated around the middle of the pitch for a second in a moment of confusion, Khaleel sent the throw from backward point and it is off target at the striker's end. Saini would have been gone for all money had that hit the stumps. Musheer has moved to 109 off 244, Saini in 29 off 81 at the end of that over.

Duleep Trophy 2024 Live Score: Sarfaraz's celebration for his brother

Duleep Trophy 2024 Live Score: One of the most touching moments of the day was seeing Sarfaraz Khan not holding back at all seeing his brother raise his bat at the end of a long grind. Musheer said Sarfaraz urged him to play his natural game and if it included walking to the fast bowlers, so be it. “My brother and I have the same game. I try to follow whatever he does. In the middle, he only asked me to follow my technique. Usne bola agar tere ko lagta aage bad sakta hai, to aage bad kar khel (If you feel like moving forward, go ahead and do it),” Musheer said post the day’s play.

Duleep Trophy 2024 Live Score: Musheer Khan's epic

Duleep Trophy 2024 Live Score: As stated earlier, while the superstars fell around him, young Musheer Khan stayed put. Musheer continued to play an almost entirely chanceless knock and somewhat shifted gears towards the end of the day when the India B tailenders walked in.

Duleep Trophy 2024 Live Score: India B's star names fail to deliver

Duleep Trophy 2024 Live Score: While the more renowned names in the India B batting lineup perished after trying a big shots, Musheer hunkered down on Day 1 and reaped the rewards for it at the end of it. While Yashasvi Jaiswal scored Yashasvi Jaiswal (30 off 59 balls) was the only one who managed to score some runs among the players in the squad who have played international cricket. Sarfaraz Khan stood steady with his brother for much of the first session after Jaiswal fell but was dismissed on nine off 35 early in the second session. Comeback Rishabh Pant's lived by the sword, as he often tends to do, and died by it, as he also often tended to do during his extraordinary run in Test cricket before December 2022. Anybody who wanted to see what Nitish Kumar Reddy is like in red-ball cricket were in for disappointment as he got an absolute jaffa from Akash Deep that he could do nothing about.
