Then, Jayant Yadav dismissed Rishabh Pant (26) and Axar was trapped LBW by Boult on 9 as DC reduced to 77/5. Big-hitting Windies batsman Shimron Hetmyer looked dangerous during his cameo before being undone by Jasprit Bumrah's slower ball. He was gone for 15. Eventually, it was a 39- run stand between Shreyas Iyer (33*) and Ashwin (20*) that guided the side to a four-wicket win with 5 balls to spare. Earlier in the day, DC got off to a very strong start as they restricted MI to 57/2 after 9 overs. While Avesh Khan dismissed Rohit Sharma on 7, Axar Patel struck in his first over by getting the wicket of Quinton de Kock (19). He then came back to pick up two more wickets, Suryakumar Yadav (33), and Saurabh Tiwary (15), to rock Mumbai. The pacers then tightened the stranglehold as Nortje got the better of Kieron Pollard (6) and completed a wicket-maiden. MI reached 88/5 after 16 overs. Eventually, three wickets each from Avesh and Axar, along with Nortje's run-stemming spell restricted MI to 129/8 in 20 overs The Delhi Capitals (DC) have decided to field first after Rishabh Pant won the toss in Sharjah. Both teams have made a change each; Prithvi Shaw returns for DC, replacing Lalit Yadav and for MI, Jayant Yadav is included in Rahul Chahar's stead.
