Roy’s 180, combined with Joe Root’s brilliant 91* helped England chase down 305, a record in Melbourne. With this win, Eoin Morgan’s side have taken a 1-0 lead in the five-match ODI series. England were thrashed 0-4 in the five-Test Ashes series by Australia but have had better results in the 50-over format.
