Australia easily won the fist Twenty20 International of the tri-series, also involving England, by seven wickets (D/L Method) against New Zealand at the Sydney Cricket Ground (SCG) on Saturday. Set a revised target of 95 from 15 overs after a rain delay, the hosts reached home in only 11.3 overs with Chris Lynn (44) and Glenn Maxwell (40 not out) taking them over the line. Earlier, Australia won the toss and opted to field against New Zealand, who struggled from the start and never really settled down after losing early wickets. In 20 overs, New Zealand could only manage 117/9 with Colin de Grandhomme top-scoring with 38. It was a brilliant outing for Australian bowlers with none going for more than seven per over. Andrew Tye picked up 4/23 while Billy Stanlake ended with 3/15. Get full cricket score of Australia vs New Zealand T20 here. (INDIA vs AUSTRALIA U-19 WORLD CUP FINAL SCORECARD)
