Sri Lanka took a slender 46-run lead in the second Test against England on Day 2 of the match. Roshen Silva was the top scorer for Sri Lanka with a gritty 85, while there were vital contributions from Dimuth Karunaratne. Silva guided the hosts out of trouble when they found themselves in trouble with six wickets down and more than 125 runs behind. Adil Rashid and Jack Leach were the best performers for the visitors picking three wickets each. England were 0/0 after a solitary over at the end of the day.
