India wicketkeeper Wriddhiman Saha’s unbeaten 106 against Bangladesh on Friday came as an ultimate joy for his family - especially his daughter.
As soon Saha appeared on the TV screen, raising his arms to celebrate his century, his little daughter’s joy knew no bound. She hugged the TV screen and gave thumbs up gesture to his father on the TV screen.

Saha, who is making a comeback from injury, which forced him out of two Tests against England, snatched the opportunity and scored his second Test century to guide India to a massive total.
Just recently, Wriddhiman Saha had posted a picture of his daughter before the one-off Test against Bangladesh kicked off in Hyderabad.
Saha had to wait for years to get his chance till the time MS Dhoni quit Test cricket in 2014 in the middle of the Australia tour. The competition was tight between Saha and Parthiv Patel, who did equally well against England to stake his claim for the wicketkeeper’s spot in the Test team. The selectors ultimately backed Saha for the spot after a double century in the Irani Cup at the Brabourne Stadium last month.
“It’s a great plus for the players. Because after an injury hiatus when one makes a comeback, if you are clearly told that as and when you recover you will be back in the team, that individual gets more motivated and it reflects in your performance,” said Saha after close of play on the second day.
