Both Class 10 and Class 12 examinations were held in two shifts every day to accommodate a large number of students.

The board took strict measures during this year’s examinations to check cheating after images of mass cheating in an examination centre in Vaishali district of went viral on social and mainstream media across the globe .

The images showed parents and guardians of examinees scaling a multi-storeyed examination hall to aid in mass cheating while security guards and police personnel deployed at the venue did nothing to stop them.

The board installed CCTV cameras in several centres, frisked all examinees and even asked them to remove their footwear before entering the examination hall at some centres.

The strict arrangements resulted in several expulsions for cheating or impersonation. Even invigilators, who failed to check cheating in their respective centres, were booked.
