Meghalaya SSLC or Class 10 board exam merit list leaked a day ahead of results
Meghalaya Secondary School Leaving Certificate examination controller blames possible technical glitch by National Informatics Centre, which is entrusted with declaring the results online.
The merit list of the Meghalaya Secondary School Leaving Certificate (SSLC) or Class 10 board examination, the results of which were to be announced on Tuesday, was leaked online on Monday night.

The incident comes hours after the Board of School Education Haryana released an incorrect merit list of Class 10 results. The error was rectified later.
However, the merit list, which was leaked on Facebook on Monday night, of the students who secured the top 20 ranks of the exam conducted by Meghalaya Board of School Education (MBoSE) was not incorrect.
“It is an unfortunate thing, but the list which got leaked is the correct one. Thankfully, the entire set of results didn’t get leaked,” TR Laloo, control of examination of MBoSE, told the Hindustan Times.
As per the leaked list, Duyu Asung of St. George Secondary School in Nongmynsong and Lamphrang Lyngdoh of Ram Krishna Mission HS School in Cherrapunji got the first rank securing 568 out of total 600 marks.

Laloo blamed a possible technical glitch by National Informatics Centre (NIC), which is entrusted with declaring the results online, for the leak.
Besides the NIC, 6 other websites have been authorised by MBoSE to provide the results that will be made public at 10am on Tuesday.
But the leak doesn’t appear to have happened from those sites, Laloo said.
“The leak hasn’t happened due to internal issues at MBoSE. This is the first time it has happened. We are going ahead with the declaration of results as planned,” he said.
