Anil is a waste of time: Abhay

Abhay Deol lashes out at Anil Kapoor’s comments against him rating Aisha as his biggest mistake and pointing at Anil as a waste of time. Read the war of words between senior and junior actors of Bollywood.

Things have gone from bad to worse between actors Abhay Deol and Anil Kapoor. After Kapoor took a dig at Deol on film-maker Karan Johar’s TV chat show Koffee with Karan, saying that Abhay "needs help", Deol has lashed out at his remarks. On the show, when KJo asked Kapoor if he had any words of advice for Deol, he had said, "He (Deol) seriously needs help. He is trying to do all the wrong things."



In response, Deol says, "He’s right about me doing "all the wrong things". Aisha is the biggest proof of that. And yes I do "need help". Help not getting affected by people like him. He’s a waste of my time."

Abhay, once close to the Kapoors, fell out with them when he said that he wouldn’t do a film like Sonam Kapoor-starrer Aisha again. The actor had said, "Too much energy was wasted on styling, but as an actor I don’t have much say." Sonam had then reacted saying, "I am shocked. I can’t believe that Abhay would make such statements." However, this time, both Sonam and sister Rhea, the film’s producer, refused to comment.



Though Aisha, which released in August, bombed at the box office, it created ripples by way of controversy, as lead actor Deol publicly despised the lakhs that had been spent on Sonam’s designer wardrobe. His absence during the film’s promotion was also conspicuous.
