Drishyam 2, helmed by Abhishek Pathak, has entered the ₹100 crore club within a week of its release. The film, starring Ajay Devgn and Tabu, collected ₹8.62 crore on day seven of its release, taking its total domestic box office collection to ₹104.66 crore. The movie is a sequel to Ajay's 2015 crime thriller Drishyam, which was the Hindi remake of the Mohanlal-starrer Malayalam movie of the same name. The sequel to the Malayalam film released in February 2021. It is produced by Bhushan Kumar, Kumar Mangat Pathak, Abhishek Pathak and Krishan Kumar. The film is presented by Viacom18 Studios, T-Series and Panorama Studios.
Taking to Twitter on Friday, film trade analyst Taran Adarsh shared a poster of the film featuring the lead actors. He tweeted, "#Drishyam2 is 💯 NOT OUT… Packs a SOLID SCORE in Week 1… TERRIFIC weekend, SUPER-STRONG weekdays… All eyes on Weekend 2… Fri 15.38 cr, Sat 21.59 cr, Sun 27.17 cr, Mon 11.87 cr, Tue 10.48 cr, Wed 9.55 cr, Thu 8.62 cr.
