Model-actor Padma Lakshmi says that now that she's a single mother, her love life is not on high priority.
The Top Chef host was, until recently, romantically linked to Hollywood superstar Richard Gere, reported People magazine.
"I date a lot less as a single mom, I'll tell you that. I just don't have time," Lakshmi told reporters at the Elton John AIDS Foundation's 13th Annual Enduring Vision Benefit.
Lakshmi, 44, said she is cautious about her love life because of her daughter Krishna Thea, four.
"As you get older, I think it's harder to meet the right person. You just want to be careful because you have a family," she said.
The Bravo star was excited to support the EJAF, which funds HIV/AIDS prevention programs and treatment.
"There's still so much to be done with AIDS, and (Elton) has really been such an early supporter and a consistent supporter," she added.
