New father Jay-Z has revealed his wife Beyonce suffered a miscarriage before conceiving their first child, Blue Ivy Carter.
The rapper released a new song Glory on his social website, Life and Times to mark the birth of his daughter over the weekend which details that the couple had struggled for years to have a child, News.com.au reported.
"Last time the miscarriage was so tragic/We was afraid you’d disappear/But nah baby you magic."
Jay-Z also gushes about Blue, calling her "the most beautiful thing in this world, she's daddy's little girl and my greatest creation."
According to ABC News, the 42-year-old also says tells his daughter You was made in Paris.
The song, which features lyrics like “you’re my child of a child from Destiny’s Child,” ends with the sound of a baby’s cries, thought to be of Blue Ivy.
