As his political career takes an unexpected turn with his expulsion from the Samajwadi Party, politician Amar Singh is ready to take on films as a career.

“I am already active in films. Whether you know or not, I am the vice chairman of ABCL (AB Corp) of which Mr. (Amitabh) Bachchan is chairman. I consider him as my elder brother,” said Singh.
He has already finished filming for Dev Anand’s Chargesheet, and also has a Bengali and a Malayalam film in his kitty. “Politics has not been a career for me. I have other things to do to keep myself busy,” he said. “Chargesheet is complete. Now I will be doing a Malayalam movie, which will start some time in March,” he said.
The Bengali film — Sesh Sanghat — is sympathetic to the cause of Naxalites and will be produced by actress Jaya Prada. Asked if he will he do a film with Big B, he says, “We are seen together all the time on video footage and personal footage, so that craving is not there.”
