Sanjay Dutt breaks down, refuses to seek pardon

Speaking to reporters in Mumbai, a visibly shattered Sanjay Dutt said, "When I am not going for pardon, there should not be a debate over it." He also urged, "only have a very little time left before I surrender. I beg media with folded hands to leave me alone for this time."

Actor Sanajy Dutt on Thursday said that he was a law abiding citizen and he will surrender within the stipulated deadline set by the Supreme Court.

The Bollywood actor said that he will not appeal for pardon. "When I am not going for pardon, there should not be a debate over it" Sanjay Dutt said.

Speaking to the media in Mumbai on Thursday, Sanjay Dutt said, "I want to thank everybody who supported me and want to say that I have a few days left and I want to finish all my work."

A visibly shaken Sanjay Dutt broke down while speaking to the reporters. He said, "I only have a very little time left before I surrender. I beg media with folded hands to leave me alone for this time. Right now, I am a shattered man, my family is shattered."

Sanjay Dutt also said, I love my country, I love citizens of my country and I love India," the actor said.

The Supreme Court on March 21 upheld Dutt's conviction under the Arms Act for possession and destruction of an AK-56 before the blasts.
