It’s safe to say that Sridevi’s stunning looks run in the family.
As the actor stepped out at Anamika Khanna’s Lakmé Fashion Week summer/resort 2018 star-studded grand finale on Sunday, looking stunning per usual, we were mesmerised by her mini doppelgänger.
Daughter Janhvi Kapoor, who makes her Bollywood debut with Dhadak, proved that she gets it from her mama, as the two made an appearance at the fashion week. While both Sridevi and Janhvi wore Anamika Khanna ensembles, Janhvi Kapoor wore chic matching separates, Sridevi went desi-with-a-twist in a pre-switched sari.
Sridevi showed the sari has endless possibilities with her elegant and functional drape, which she stylishly paired with a dramatic, floor-touching embroidered jacket. Adding to the appeal of her eclectic, edgy ensemble — perfect if you want to switch up a classic Indian outfit — was a matching belt accentuating her waistline. Sridevi anchored her look with a nude clutch and grey pumps. For her beauty look, she chose shimmery eyes, wine lips and nail paint with hair tied in a neat updo. We approve, Sridevi, we approve.
Janhvi got into business with her sassy but classy matchy-matchy co-ords — a chic, plunging embroidered top and well-fitted pants set. She gave new life to a classic with her ivory ensemble, and we’re especially crushing on the colourful floral embroidery. She finished the look off with earrings from Amrapali Jewels and strappy nude heels. Unlike mother Sridevi, she kept her make-up and hair simple, opting for nude lips and dewy make-up. One thing’s for sure — the girl’s got style.
Now, that’s how you redefine mother-daughter goals.
