On October 8, the department had rescued a 13-foot python from a farmhouse in Baliyabas village located near Gurgaon-Faridabad Road.

According to officials, villagers of Behrampur found the snake on a tree near a Shiv temple in the village. They informed the wildlife department, which rushed to the spot and rescued the reptile.

“Our team reached the spot around 1pm after we received information from villagers about a python. We found a 10-foot python on a tree near the village temple. It took us 30 minutes to rescue the full-grown snake,” Kanwar Pal, wildlife inspector, said.

After conducting a medical examination of the snake, the officials released it in the Bhondsi forest. “We have released the python in Bhondsi forest area located in Sohna tehsil of Gurgaon district. We have thoroughly examined the snake and it is fit,” Pal said.
