Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice
may be eight months away but the forces of light and dark are already weighing in regarding this massive superhero showdown.
In the new issue of Empire, we see the duo standing side-by-side looking suitably serious, or as the film's director Zack Snyder puts it, "Operatic".
Ben Affleck's caped crusader is pictured against a murky Gotham backdrop. Speaking to the magazine, Snyder said, “There is just this gravitas to Batman. He is operatic.”
The magazine got an all-access pass to what is turning into a huge film, as well as interviews with his director and stars. So, where does Superman fit into this world? "In this movie, everyone has split into different directions as to how they feel about this alien," explains Henry Cavill who plays Superman. "Some people love him, some hate him. Other people fear him. Is he a tyrant?"

The film will introduce Gal Gadot’s Wonder Woman, Ezra Miller as the Flash, Jesse Eisenberg as Lex Luthor and Jason Momoa’s Aquaman to DC's Universe. The film is also establishing the foundation for a Justice League.
