Star Wars icon Mark Hamill is reprising his iconic role as Batman’s arch-enemy the Joker in the new animated film based on the classic graphic novel Batman: The Killing Joke.
The actor, 64, will reprise his role as Joker for the latest comic book adaptation, based on the celebrated graphic novel by Alan Moore and Brian Bolland , reported Variety.
Hamill tweeted the news in a series of three tweets, each quoting a famous line from the comic.
Hamill, who is famous for playing Luke Skywalker in the Star Wars films, previously played the part of the Joker in Batman: The Animated Series, and the Arkham City games. His portrayal of the character is a fan favourite.

His co-star Kevin Conroy will also return as Batman for the adaptation of the cult comic.
Twin Peaks star Ray Wise has also signed on for the film; he will voice the role of Commissioner Gordon.
