Kristen Stewart’s engagement ring from Twilight sold at auction for Rs 11 lakh!

The engagement ring worn by actor Kristen Stewart in the Twilight movie franchise has been snapped up for an impressive $16,800 (Rs 11.5 lakh).

The engagement ring worn by actor Kristen Stewart in the Twilight movie franchise has been snapped up for an impressive $16,800 (Rs 11.5 lakh).

Stewart portrayed Bella Swan in the film adaptation o the vampire book series, and one devotee dug deep to win the prop during a two-day auction at the Hollywood Chinese Theatre, reported E! online.

More than 900 pieces of memorabilia went under the hammer in the Prop Store sale, and the engagement ring Swan received from Edward Cullen, played by Kristen’s real-life ex Robert Pattinson, was one of the weekend’s hottest items.

Other popular props include Edward’s journal, which sold for $7,800 (Rs 5.3 lakh), and a meadow costume Kristen wore onscreen, which went for $8,400 (Rs 5.7 lakh).

“We’re thrilled with the interest and participation in this exclusive auction event,” read a statement issued by Prop Store boss Bandon Alinger.

“The films have a global following, which was very evident with the worldwide response from bidders over the weekend. For Twilight fans, this auction offered an amazing opportunity to own a piece of the phenomenon and we were proud to partner with Lionsgate (production studio) on the project.”
