Michael Fassbender to play Steve Jobs in biopic

Michael Fassbender will be portraying the role of Steve Jobs in the biopic of Apple's co-founder under the banner of Universal. Natalie Portman is in early talks to star in the film.

Michael Fassbender will be portraying the role of Steve Jobs in the biopic of Apple's co-founder under the banner of Universal, it has been revealed.

Danny Boyle will helm the movie and Aaron Sorkin has been roped in as the screenwriter on the project, Contactmusic reported.

According to reports, Christian Bale and Leonardo DiCaprio declined the offer for the lead role.

Natalie Portman is also in early talks to be cast in the biopic. If she signs on the dotted lines, the actor would co-star alongside Michael Fassbender for the first time.

Portman and Fassbender nearly worked together on another project Jane Got a Gun before director Lynne Ramsay and Fassbender exited the film.
