Ryan Reynolds celebrates Avengers: Infinity War with a Deadpool joke. Then bothers Wolverine

What does Deadpool do after congratulating Avengers: Infinity War on its box office success. Go and bother former Wolverine Hugh Jackman.

Tony Stark turned down Deadpool all those years ago. But our foul-mouthed superhero is no sore loser. So, when Avengers: Infinity War became a super-duper success with records broken at home and the world ($650 million worldwide in one weekend), Deadpool decided to raise a toast to them – with a Deadpool joke, of course.

Avengers: Infinity War may not have Deadpool but it is not for the lack of trying.

On his Twitter handle, Ryan Reynolds revealed that his on-screen alter ego Deadpool had received a rejection letter from the Avengers six years ago when he had requested a place in the army of Marvel superheroes. The 41-year-old actor congratulated the team of Avengers: Infinity War on Instagram after the bumper box office run of the movie in its opening weekend.

Reynolds captioned the picture: “From a guy who never knows when to quit, I’m glad you guys never did. Congrats #Avengers.” Chris Hemsworth, who stars as Thor in the Avengers films, commented on the picture, “Thank you mate!”

Reynolds and Deadpool decided to take Stark on his word, a few years too late. In a video shared by Hugh Jackman, former Wolverine and a good friend of Reynolds, we can see Deadpool lying on the bed and interrupting the Aussie actor as he tries to speak.

As Jackman tries to record a birthday message for an unnamed individual, Reynolds – dressed as Deadpool – interrupts with Tomorrow from Anie and then starts singing Baha Men’s Who Lets the Dogs Out?

Hugh Jackman has officially retired from the role of Wolverine following last year’s Logan. Reynolds tried to tempt him back but in vain. However, we often see the duo engaging in trolling and pranks, much to the amusement of their fans.

Deadpool 2, which is also a Marvel Comics Universe property, is slated to be released on May 18.
