Guess who paid India a visit recently? Hollywood actor Shailene Woodley! Yes, the Fault in Our Stars actor was in India on a backpacking trip. According to a source, “Shailene is a travel junkie. She loves to explore different places and cultures. After she completed shooting for her latest release Allegiant, she packed her back pack and explored Europe and India.”

Reportedly, Shailene visited Shimla, Dharamsala and McLeod Ganj, and even shopped a bit, including picking up a shawl from Shimla. “She keeps her professional and personal life separate. She doesn’t like to put on makeup unless for work. And at heart she is a hippie. So when she travelled to Dharamsala, Shimla and Mcleod Ganj, she travelled around like a normal person, sans any makeup.
Yet, some people recognised the star and got clicked with her. And she was happy to oblige. She chose to come to India because she finds Hollywood actor Richard Gere, who is a Buddhist, an inspiration. And he has spoken about his many visits to the country. And India had been on her mind for a long time. Her film is also releasing in India next month, so she just couldn’t delay visiting India any longer,” says the source.
