Oscar-winning director Steven Spielberg has promised that he won’t kill off actor Harrison Ford’s character in the upcoming film Indiana Jones V.

Oscar-winning director Steven Spielberg has promised that he won’t kill off actor Harrison Ford’s character in the upcoming film Indiana Jones V.

Indiana Jones 5 will not pull a Star Wars: The Force Awakens.

Ford’s character Han Solo died in Star Wars: The Force Awakens, but Spielberg has no such intentions with his film, reports hollywoodreporter.com.

“I think this one is straight down the pike for the fans. The one thing I will tell you is I am not killing off Harrison (Ford) at the end of it,” Spielberg said.

Spielberg said that he is “super excited” about the fifth instalment of the “Indiana Jones” film series, which is slated for a July 19, 2019 release in the US.

He is directing Indiana Jones V from a script by David Koepp (Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull, Jurassic Park). John Williams is expected to once again provide the music while Kathleen Kennedy and Frank Marshall will serve as producers.
