  Pednekar reaches Heritage Hansa building

  “What I have come to know till now is that fire was probably due to diya kept in the balcony at one of the house on 14th floor. Due to high wind speed, the fire later spread to 15th floor. The fire brigade also rescued around five people from the building. Fortunately, the fire station was very nearby to the building and hence the call was attended at a very early stage of the fire,” Mumbai mayor Kishori Pednekar said after reaching the spot.

  Maharashtra CM orders inquiry into Ahmednagar district hospital fire

  Chief minister Uddhav Thackeray has ordered for a detained inquiry in the fire incident at Ahmednagar district hospital claimed lives of around ten patients. He has also sought a detailed report into the matter.

  “CM Thackeray has expressed condolences and ordered a detailed probe and action against those responsible for negligence,” stated a statement issued by the chief minister's office.

  “As soon as he came to know about the incident, the chief minister spoke to the district guardian minister Hasan Mushrif and chief secretary (Sitaram Kunte) and asked to ensure those needing medical attention won’t have to face any difficulties. He also ordered the district collector (Rajendra Bhosale) to conduct a detailed probe of the incident and submit a report,” it adds further
