Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) founder Abhijeet Dipke on Wednesday accused the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) of threatening hall and banquet owners in the Capital against renting out their spaces for his party activities.
Speaking to reporters, Dipke said a meeting of CJP volunteers in Naraina was cancelled earlier in the day after the banquet hall where it was to be held revoked the booking at the last minute due to "pressure" from the ruling party.
“We were scheduled to hold our volunteers’ meet in Delhi today. We were looking for a hall but no one agreed to rent out one to us. Everyone kept saying there was pressure from above and that they cannot give a hall to the CJP. At least 10 places refused to give us space, saying if they did so, they would invite trouble,” Dipke told reporters.
He said the organisers eventually reserved a venue but when they reached there, they were told that they could not be given the hall because of "pressure".

{{/usCountry}}“It was after a lot of difficulty that we managed to get a hall. We also have a receipt of the booking. But the people who gave us the hall were also threatened and told that if they allowed a CJP meeting to take place there, they would be turned upside down and hung,” he alleged.

“The people are being threatened in this manner. Efforts are being made to prevent us from holding such meetings. All this is being done by the BJP... Their actions and words clearly reveal that they are afraid of the country's youth... If they think such petty actions will frighten us, they are purely mistaken,” he added.
CJP co-convener Ashutosh Ranka also hit out at the BJP, saying “Don’t worry BJP, tumhare baccho k bhi schools thik karwayenge!” The remarks were an apparent reference to the CJP’s upcoming nationwide campaign ‘School Thik Karo’ to be launched on Independence Day.
The developments came hours after Dipke announced an upcoming protest similar on the lines of the student protests in Delhi’s Jantar Mantar last month, which he termed "Season 2 of Jantar Mantar".

“Many people were commenting on Instagram when Season 2 of 'Jantar-Mantar' will begin. I want to tell them that Season 2 of 'Jantar-Mantar' is going to start very soon,” he said.
Dipke led the protest, which continued for 36 days and drew massive support, and the resignation of Dharmendra Pradhan as Union education minister.
It also came days after the CJP announced its national team, with Dipke named its national convener, as the outfit moved to build an organisational structure.
