“How many more lives will be lost for Modi babu,” Banerjee posed on Twitter.

The Trinamool Congress leader was alluding to a compiled list of 95 people who she said had died while standing in bank or ATM queues or who had committed suicide due to lack of cash after demonetisation.

The list was tweeted by Trinamool MP Derek O’Brien.

Banerjee has been on the warpath with the Narendra Modi government over the issue of demonetisation of 500 and 1,000 rupees notes that has caused a severe cash crunch in the country.
