A 28-year-old man from Gujarat stabbed a friend to death in Goa after he allegedly misbehaved with his fiancée, police said on Saturday.

Police superintendent Harish Madkaikar said Komal Baraskar, 28, chased Rajbhar Ramnarayan Ramharshbhai and stabbed him in the chest with a kitchen knife as he was enraged by his behaviour with his fiancée. “We have arrested the main accused. The investigation is ongoing to determine if others from their group are also involved,” he said.
Police said Ramharshbhai was found stabbed in the chest around 5.45am on Saturday. They added that he was part of a group of 10 friends who had come to Goa for jobs at a casino and were staying at a guest house in Calangute, a coastal village.
Ramharshbhai allegedly asked Baraskar’s fiancée via WhatsApp to send “revealing images” of herself, a police officer familiar with the investigation said.
