Haryana chief minister Manohar Lal Khattar on Thursday said his government will consider a probe by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) into the death of BJP leader and actor Sonali Phogat if her family demands the same in writing.
“We will do as the family members ask for, if they give us their demands in writing, we will give it for further process,” the chief minister said when asked about the demand by Phogat's family to launch a CBI probe into her death.

The statement comes even as Phogat's post-mortem report revealed that the BJP leader had "multiple blunt force injuries" on her body. Goa Police also lodged a murder case in the matter.
Two men - Phogat's manager Sudhir Sangwan and an associate Sukhwinder Singh, have also been arrested.
Phogat's brother and two sisters have been consistently alleging that their sibling was murdered unlike passing away due to cardiac arrest which initial police and medical reports suggested. The Goa Police had on Tuesday filed a case of unnatural death in connection with the case, and the National Commission for Women also took cognisance of it.

{{/usCountry}}Phogat's brother Rinku Dhaka, who reached Goa hours after his sister's death, filed a complaint with Anjuma Police station alleging a "preplanned murder". Meanwhile, the BJP leader's sister Raman demanded a CBI probe. Another sister Rupesh spoke about receiving a call from Phogat on Monday evening hours before her death wherein the politician-cum-actor mentioned “something fishy going on”.
In his complaint, Dhaka alleged that his sister had no plans to visit Goa and was taken there as part of a conspiracy. He further claimed that Phogat was raped Sangwan by adding drugs to her food and later murdered by him and Sukhwinder.
Goa chief minister Pramod Sawant, meanwhile, said he has given a “free hand” to the state police to treat the case as per the emerging information.
