Police have raided a spa in Maharashtra's Navi Mumbai township and rescued three women allegedly forced into prostitution, officials said on Tuesday.
The spa manager has been arrested, they said.
Based on a tip-off, the police's anti-human trafficking cell conducted the raid after sending a decoy customer to the spa in Kharghar on August 8.
The police rescued three women from the spa and arrested its manager, identified as Arif Aziz Mansuri (35), a police release said.
A search was on for the woman spa owner and her associate.
A case has been registered against the accused under sections 143(3) ( trafficking) and 3(5) (common intention) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita and relevant provisions of the Immoral Traffic (Prevention) Act, the police added.
