Tej Pratap Yadav’s offbeat moments continue to make headlines. This time, the Bihar politician found himself on a workout mat with Bollywood actor Mallika Sherawat, in a segment of a reality show titled ‘Bhojpuri Bawaal’ – a moment that has caught the internet’s attention.

Yadav joined Bhojpuri Bawaal, a reality show featuring the lives of popular Bhojpuri personalities, earlier this year, with the show announced in May and premiered on August 2 on JioHotstar.
In a now-viral segment, Sherawat takes on the role of a fitness instructor, guiding Tej Pratap, the son of veteran leader Lalu Prasad Yadav, through yoga postures and stretching exercises.
While Sherawat performs the moves with ease, Tej Pratap appears to struggle to keep pace, at one point admitting, “It's very hard.”

When Tej Pratap was jailed
In July 2026, Tej Pratap was arrested and remanded in judicial custody for 14 days after police alleged that his presence and actions contributed to the escalation of protests in Patna over an alleged NEET paper leak, resulting in property damage.
It was the first time the 38-year-old politician was jailed during his political career.
Yadav urged Cockroach Janta Party founder Abhijeet Dipke to visit the state and help dislodge the BJP-led government headed by Samrat Choudhary.
"I, Tej Pratap Yadav, make this special appeal to Abhijeet Dipke, the founder of the Cockroach Janata Party, that he come immediately to the land of Bihar," said the mercurial leader, who, incidentally, had ended up being detained by police earlier in the day for supporting a bandh called by Left-wing students' unions.
