All-rounder Ravindra Jadeja, who has been suspended from the third and final Test against Sri Lanka starting on Saturday for breach of the ICC code, has left for India.

Jadeja will get an opportunity to spend time with his family. The decision was taken by the team management to allow him to travel home because he won’t be allowed to take any part in the team’s activities during the third Test, to be played at Pallekele.

A suspended player is not allowed to be part of the dressing room and Jadeja would have had to stay in the hotel room.
He was India’s star performer in the second Test with an unbeaten half-century and seven wickets. India won the match by an innings to take an unassailable 2-0 lead in the series.
The Indian team reached Kandy from Colombo on Tuesday, after a three-and-half hour drive.
