The incident took place during AAP’s victory procession in the area .

The quarrel started outside Dhingan’s residence in Seemapuri following an alleged argument that broke out between the two groups.

The Congress supporters alleged that AAP cadres had apparently misbehaved with them.

In a police complaint filed by Dhingan, it has been alleged that Koli and his supporters molested and misbehaved with Dhingan’s wife and other women who were present at his residence, a senior police officer confirmed.

"On the basis of the complaint, a case of molestation, outraging the modesty of a woman and unlawful assembly has been registered at the Seemapuri police station against newly elected AAP MLA Dharmendra Singh Koli and his supporters," the senior officer said.

The Congress supporters were demanding action against AAP supporters.

Several police personnel, including some senior police officers, arrived at the protest sites and pacified them by ensuring a probe into the incident.

"Newly elected AAP MLA Dharmendra Singh Koli has refuted the allegations levelled against them. He accused Congress supporters of misbehaving with his supporters. We are looking into the matter," the senior police officer said.

According to the officer, Koli along with scores of supporters were on the streets carrying out a victory march on Monday morning.

The victory march began from Nand Nagri at around 11.30 am with a musical band and reached Dhingan’s residence.

"It has been alleged that AAP supporters created a ruckus outside his house and they misbehaved with some women, the officer said.
