Ahmed, Suresh Kurup file nomination

Indian Union Muslim League general secretary E Ahmed and CPI-M's sitting MP Suresh Kurup filed their nomination for the May 10 LS polls in Kerala.

Indian Union Muslim League (IUML) general secretary E Ahmed and CPI-M's sitting MP Suresh Kurup were among 18 aspirants on Tuesday filed nomination for the May 10 Lok Sabha polls in Kerala.

Ahmed filed papers for Ponnani, while Kurup for Kottayam Lok Sabha constituency.

Edward Edezhath of Congress filed nomination for the prestigious Eernakulam seat and former UDF Chief Whip KPA Majeed joined the arena as IUML contestant in the party stronghold in Manjery parliamentary seat.
