Burnt remains of a person were found in a waste dump near a field in the Farrukh Nagar locality of Sahibabad on Wednesday.

Burnt remains of a person were found in a waste dump near a field in the Farrukh Nagar locality of Sahibabad on Wednesday. The residents claimed that it could be a case of "honour killing" but the police refused to say anything, pointing out that forensic reports are yet to be come out.

"Prima facie, we suspect that the body was that of a woman but we have sent the remains for a forensic examination where the DNA-profiling would also be conducted," SSP Prashant Kumar told Hindustan Times.
