Most areas, which are reeling under power-cuts lasting upto 15 hours a day, are now facing the problem of water supply. Residents are suffering because of frequent outages.
People are demanding that a proper schedule should be announced so that they could plan their day accordingly. But Dakshin Haryana Bijli Vitran Nigam (DHBVN) has expressed its inability to announce a schedule as it is wary of the supply situation in next 15 days.
YK Srivastava, senior vice-president, Sector 56, RWA, said, "There is a power-cut of almost 15 hours every day. When there is a power-cut during morning hours we are compelled to stay without water too. We want authorities to announce a schedule for morning hours."
Raja Ram Yadav, general secretary, Sector 15, part II RWA, said, "Things have blown out of proportion. In our area, we have to manage without electricity for 14-15 hours. Even invertors are not getting charged. If there had been a fixed schedule, it would be easier for residents."
Mohammad Shaheen, managing director, DHBVN, said, "We cannot announce a schedule. We do not have an idea about the next day. If we announce the schedule and next day we fail to meet that, then residents would further get furious."
