Heath Ledger to join new Batman movie cast

Whereas, Christian Bale will star as the caped crusader in Christopher Nolan's Batman movie The Dark Knight.

Warner Bros studios has announced director Christopher Nolan will return to direct the next Batman movie The Dark Knight.

According to ananova.com, actor Christian Bale will also return to star as Batman and Heath Ledger will join the cast as The Joker.

Jeff Robinov, studio president of production, said: "Chris's unique vision is what made Batman Begins such an outstanding film and we could not imagine anyone else at the helm of The Dark Knight.

"We also can't wait to see two such formidable actors as Christian and Heath face off with each other as Batman and The Joker."
