Martyr Rajendra Singh was offered tributes with full military honour. Thereafter, the body was sent to his native Haliyapur of Sultanpur district.

The atmosphere at the airport was emotionally charged as the men in olive green took their positions to receive the body. Tears rolled down the cheeks of the onlookers as the coffin was being brought out of the airport. The soldiers of 8 Gorkha Rifles sounded the ‘last post’. On behalf of the Station Commander, Col V K Ghildiyal laid a wreath. Some wreaths were also laid on behalf of the Army commander of the central command and 8 Gorkha Rifles. Thereafter, the soldiers slow marched as the body was being taken to the native place of the martyr.

Martyr's cousin Hindesh Singh and his uncle RV Singh, were also present at the airport.
