The Royal dinner in honour of Prince William and Kate Middleton, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, was attended by the who’s who of Bollywood, business and culture world of India on Sunday night in Mumbai.

During their maiden visit India, the Royal couple paid tributes to the victims of the 26/11 terror attacks at the Taj Hotel, one of the sites of 2008 assault in Mumbai.

Special ‘desi’ menu was to be served for the Royal couple as aromas of a lavish Indian feast whiffed through the dinner venue.

The Duke wore a black tuxedo while the Duchess was seen in a blue evening gown.

And so was the dinner a business class gathering, with the presence of Mahindra Group chairman Anand Mahindra, Birla group head Kumar Mangalam Birla, among others.

And after some fine cricket with Sachin Tendulkar, the Royal couple also had the company of the cricketing legend for the dinner.

At the party, the Duke and the Duches were welcomed on stage by Shah Rukh Khan and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, after which Prince Williams also addressed the gathering.

The Royal couple spent Sunday in Mumbai meeting children from NGOs, while also playing some cricket shots during a charity event on Oval Maidan in Mumbai. The couple on their maiden India visit will also see the Taj Mahal on Day 2 on Monday.
