Despite the fact that all the films are in Hindi, a large number of enthusiastic young spectators are coming to attend the festival.

"I am surprised to see so many young faces in the hall, I thought, I would see mostly your mothers and grandmothers here," said Indian ambassador to Russia Kanwal Sibal.

"Love for the Indian films and Bollywood is still alive in Russia and the new generation of Russians is also carrying forward the tradition in spite of Hollywood movies flooding screens in the country," noted Russian film critic Kirill Razlogov said.

The festival would screen a number of hit Indian movies, including Raj Kapoor's 'Bobby', Shekhar Kapur's 'Masoom', Mani Ratnam's 'Roja', Karan Johar's 'Kal Ho Na Ho' and 'Kuch Kuch Hota Hai'.
