An evidently elated Kuldeep Bishnoi said on Monday that Hisar Parliamentary constituency bypoll result showed the people of the area had faith in his father’s governance and policies. "It is a victory of my father, Bhajan Lal", he said.
Stating that the electorate of the constituency had shown the ruling Congress as well as INLD that they had faith in Bhajan Lal, Bishnoi said that the HJC-BL would strengthen its ties with the BJP and consolidate the position of the alliance in future too.
Taking a dig at the Congress and INLD, Bishnoi also said that they must understand that the electorate of the constituency had seen through their gimmicks and had thus rejected the outsider candidates parachuted or brought in helicopters and selected a local representative.
Ajay Chautala, however, singularly blamed the Congress leaders who had forced their supporters to vote for Bishnoi so as to stop him from getting elected. "It is a shame that a party which had six MLAs and an MP in the Parliamentary constituency got its candidate's deposit forfeited", he said and added that he was satisfied with his supporters as he had been cast 2.48 lakh votes in the previous LS election, while this time, the support had grown to 3.49 lakh. He even named senior Congress leaders namely Birender Singh, Randeep Singh Surjewala, Jindals and Prof Sampat Singh to have asked their supporters to vote for Bishnoi.
However, when asked what could be the reason behind such a result, Congress’ Jai Parkash told HT that there seemed to be have been some shortfalls which would be examined in the party. "Hum sathiyon ke saath mil ke samiksha karenge… jo bhi kamiyan rahi hain, he said meaning that he along with the party colleagues would examine the reasons. When asked if the bickering within the party could also be reason, he said this angle too would be examined.

{{/usCountry}}Reacting to the results CPI(M) Haryana state unit secretary Inderjit Singh said that the voters had categorically expressesd their anger against the anti- people policies responsible for rampant corruption, price rise, unemployment and lawlessness by totally rejecting the Congress candidate who had lost his deposit too.
