Pakistan skipper Inzamam-ul Haq is arriving in India for the Champions Trophy cricket tournament but to play a role off the field.
The grizzly and gentle Inzamam will closely follow and commentate on the performance of Pakistan and other teams for an Indian television network a day before the main round of Champions Trophy gets underway on Sunday.
His appearances, however, will be limited in front of the idiot box.
"We are proud to introduce Inzy at a new crease in front of the Indian audience," said Anas Baqai, director of the Propel Media Pvt Ltd, an India-based company.
"But that's not all, there is even a bigger surprise in store," he said.
Without quite divulging his plans, Baqai said his company has contracted six other prominent Pakistan cricketers including Younis Khan, the Pakistan captain for the Champions Trophy.
Other players in his stable are Shahid Afridi, Mohammad Yousuf, Abdul Razzaq, Shoaib Malik and Mohammad Sami.
Propel Media is in the business of contracting celebrities, sport or film stars, worldwide which, Baqai assures, has big plans for cricket in the sub-continent.
Inzamam is currently serving his ban of four one-day matches following the forefeiture of the Oval Test against England last month.
