The victim further claimed that Devendra Gohil, a resident of Rai Dongri at Borivli (East), had circulated her pictures to his three friends, who also raped her after threatening to upload the pictures on the Internet.

“We have detained Gohil and are inquiring about the others involved in the case,” said Deputy Commissioner of Police (Zone XII) Satyanarayan Choudhary.

The police said the victim and Gohil, a Class 8 dropout, were seeing each other for the last three years.

She claimed that eight days ago, Gohil’s took her to a lodge at Gorai where they got intimate and he reportedly clicked obscene photographs of her on his cell phone.

She claimed that Gohil sent the photographs to his three friends via Bluetooth. Using the photographs to threaten the girl, the friends reportedly raped her too.

“It was becoming difficult for the victim to step out of her house,” said a police official, requesting anonymity.

On Wednesday, the victim informed her aunt, who registered a case against Gohil.
