Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday appealed to the countrymen to uphold ideals and values of the Constitution and create an India that will make its founding fathers proud.
“Greetings to people of India on the historic occasion of 1st Constitution Day. May this day inspire you to know more about our Constitution (sic),” he tweeted.
He said this day is a tribute to all those great women and men who worked tirelessly to give India a Constitution, which “we are very proud of”.
