A man was arrested in the district after police raided his house and allegedly recovered a huge cache of explosives, including five kg ammonium nitrate, 40 metres of fuse wire and some weapons.

Acting on a tip-off, the house of Dharmendra Prasad in village Raghunathpur was raided and five kg of ammonium nitrate, 40 metres of fuse wire, one gun, a pistol and 40 live catridges were recovered, police said today.Dharmendra is suspected to have links with the proscribed CPI (Maoist) and was arrested on the spot, they said, adding he was being interrogated.
