Mother in police custody for killing new born baby
A 24-year-old woman, who allegedly killed her five-day-old daughter on Friday, was sent to seven days police custody.

A 24-year-old woman, who allegedly killed her five-day-old daughter on Friday, was sent to seven days police custody.
Though Rakhi Prajapati, a resident of Sanjay Nagar colony in Ghatkopar (West), claimed that her baby suffocated to death, the post-mortem report said she died of head injuries.
Prajapati, in her statement to the police, said she was depressed after the birth of her second daughter, as she wanted a son.
The doctors had warned her of medical complications if she planned to have a third child.
The police have ruled out the involvement of Prajapati’s husband and in-laws in the crime.
