Projection of BC Khanduri as the next chief minister is guarantee of BJP comeback with a thumping majority, said Deepti Rawat, state spokesperson BJP, during her press conference at Pauri on Wednesday. Taking a jibe at the rival Congress party she said the party was not projecting any name for CM because it did not have any leader who could change the equations in its favor with his charismatic personality and clean image.
Deepti is on her canvassing spree in almost all the constituencies of Pauri district, including Chaubattakhal, from where she herself was keen on fighting the election. Though she seemed very confident of BJP comeback, she evaded the question of BJP victory in the six seats of Pauri district saying that it was too early to predict.
On being asked that the new faces were brought to all the constituencies of Pauri district, save Yamkeswar, just to avoid anti-incumbency vote against the sitting MLAs, she said that the candidates were changed under a definite strategy and there was no fear of anti-incumbency, since the party is asking for the vote on the dint of its efficient governance.
In an answer to what the BJP plans to do to counter the effect of the probable visit of Rahul Gandhi and a few other Bollywood stars who are expected to campaign, especially for the two candidates of Rahul Brigade in the Pauri District, Deepti said that it was for the candidates to decide whom they want for a strong and effective counter measure.
