The singer is upset with the reality TV shows aired by various channels. According to him, these shows are aired by channels to draw good business. They don’t care about the singer but their business.

Talking exclusively to HT Lucknow Live during a show for the Northern Railways Women Welfare Association at Surya Auditorium on Saturday, he said, “All these talent hunt shows are bogus … If they have to select the winner from audience poll, then why they keep a panel of judges?”

He added, “The results are fixed in these shows. All the channels are going for these kind of shows because they get good revenue from the sponsorers.”

About the quality of music directors like Himesh Reshmaiyya, Ismail Darbar, Jatin Lalit and Adesh Srivastava and singers like Sonu Nigam, lyricists like Javed Akhtar, associated with these kind of shows, he said, “All these judges are paid by channels. I have also been involved as judge in some of these shows but I went there because I was paid by the show organisers.”

Talking about his future ambitions, he said, “I have already got five filmfare awards, now when I am not as busy as in previous years I have decided to produce two movies in a year, besides producing private albums. I have worked in a private album ‘Aise Na Dekho’ and another album is in the pipeline. I hope audience will love the birth of a new Kumar Sanu.”
