Sasikala's nephew arrested on charges of cheating

A nephew of Tamil Nadu chief minister Jayalalithaa's close aide Sasikala, was on Tuesday arrested for allegedly cheating a woman by promising to get her a teaching job in exchange of Rs 3 lakhs, police said.

Based on a complaint by the woman from Cuddalore, a case was registered and TTV Bhaskaran was picked up by police from his Neelangarai residence, they said.

Two of his accomplices are at large, they added.

Police have registered cases under Sections 420 (cheating), 506 (2) (criminal intimidation) and 34 (acts done by several persons in furtherance of common intention) against Bhaskaran and two others.
