A person was killed and 40 others were injured in the incident.

With unrelenting Opposition members storming the podium, Speaker KR Suresh Reddy rushed through the Appropriation Bill which was passed by a voice vote in the din and adjourned the house indefinitely.

Earlier, Reddy adjourned the house twice as TDP, Left and TRS members staged protests demanding a debate on the same incident that had also left 23 policemen injured.

When the Speaker said that the issue could be discussed in another form or at the all-party meeting scheduled for Wednesday and wanted to take up the Appropriation Bill, the Opposition raised slogans against the government and the house was adjourned briefly for 10 minutes.

The House was adjourned the second time when the situation did not improve with opposition members staging a sit-in at his podium.
